Boy has it been awhile since I’ve posted some personal stuff! Sometimes it’s important for me as a photographer to step back and remember exactly why I’m here and it’s always my children. I’m not afraid of my mommy goggles and I’m bearing them proud while I post this that’s for sure! I’m so in love with these two people. The love they have for each other and the pure joy they have in the simplest of things. They are so beautiful ♥

We feel so honored to photograph such a gorgeous wedding for Justin & Mallory! I could say thank you a million times over ♥ You two have been a dream from the very start in December. The little details were beautiful. Your families were the sweetest. Your wedding was absolutely perfect, thank you for including is in your day!

Maternity sessions are so amazingly fun, especially when you get to work with fabulous people like Amanda & Patrick!
So the original location I had picked out for this lovely couple was over run by hundreds of people for an event! Whoops. I seem to have a knack for doing that… uhm. This gorgeous spot did happen to be right where we were anyway and I love how golden the hues of the sun were with this gorgeous mommy’s eyes & freckles! Really though, one of my favorite things about these two is the love you can feel between them. ♥ You two are amazing.

In this very beautiful time in my life, I’m proud to announce that I am 5 months (and some odd numbers) pregnant with twins! One perfect little boy and one perfect little girl. These two little buns I’m buttering up are baking for a special mommy and daddy who are all the way on the other side of the US. I’m so blessed to have the opportunity and joy of helping them grow their family!
In light of this news, it’s time that I close up shop for a bit. I’m going to miss you all so so much, but I will be leaving you in good hands with referrals to my favorite photographers here in Bakersfield! Starting Sunday, July 22nd I will not take on any new sessions until early winter. I’ll be taking the time for maternity leave and also for my family to make a big move from our tiny apartment to our new home (yay!). I’m already very anxious about not working for the next few months and very much looking forward to seeing you all again! I will be updating on my blog regularly with posts of my own personal photos though. I hope you stay tuned during that time!
I just wanted to say thank you ahead of time for your understanding while I’m away and all the love you’ve given me over the last few years! I’ll be back and running again soon!

My little guy, Bradley is 5 years old and by far the hardest subject I’ve ever attempted photographing. I get a LOT of goofy smiles, karate chops, and retreat. After many attempts of trying to get a perfect portrait of him smiling and being “normal”, I’ve finally come to my senses and remembered why I fell in love with photography. Not for perfection, but to freeze an exact moment. To cherish it years from now.
I love him more than words can express. He’s my oldest baby and he’s starting Kindergarten next week. Favorite colors are Green and Red. Just lost his first tooth a few weeks ago. LOVES StarWars and dressing up as his favorite Super Heroes. His personality is hard-core energy, but inside that rambunctious body, he’s got a heart of gold. If someone is hurting, he hurts. Something like a “fixer upper”. Mr. Helper.
I desperately wanted something new of him before he starts school. Instead of fighting him to dress in clothes I chose, and forcing him to do what I wanted, I let him be him. It’s goofy, fun and shows every bit of his awesomeness!
I love you Bug! I pray that you never change from who you are<3 Mommy loves you just the way you are!
